Cationic Emulsion for Anaerobically Digested Sludge: Supplier Trial Scope

Define cationic emulsion acceptance for anaerobically digested sludge using actual digestate, downstream conditioning, active dose and separator performance.

01+

Define the approval question

An emulsion accepted on undigested biological sludge is not automatically approved after anaerobic digestion. Procurement should treat the digested feed as a defined application and retain evidence for the actual storage, blending and conditioning route before dewatering.

Identify the product code, representative sludge and operating constraint before requesting a commercial commitment.

02+

Describe the digestate delivered to the machine

Provide source blend, digestion and post-digestion storage context, feed solids, pH, conductivity and temperature. Identify dilution, upstream chemicals and return streams entering before sampling. The municipal sludge file helps separate feed identity from plant name.

Use representative current samples. Record holding time and handling so a delayed laboratory comparison is not treated as a perfect duplicate of the fresh plant feed.

03+

Bracket complete grade behavior

Compare more than one justified cationic profile with the incumbent under reproducible make-down. Measure response across active dose and include representative shear where it informs the machine decision. Do not assume the highest charge or the largest floc is the best complete grade.

The sample report should identify preparation and sample age alongside the measured result; missing conditions limit what the comparison can support.

04+

Set a stable plant acceptance window

Measure centrate or filtrate, cake, throughput and handling after stabilization. Use the combined treatment-cost record to assess a genuine improvement. Keep mechanical tuning separate from the initial product substitution.

Include normal variations in feed and operating shifts before authorizing unrestricted supply. State any untested digestion or blend condition in the approval record.

05+

Challenge a favorable comparison

A candidate tested before a change in sludge blend may no longer face the same digestate when the order arrives. This does not prove a defective delivery; compare the changed feed and retained reference before deciding whether a new qualification is needed.

Record the unresolved boundary with the trial result. An expected operating benefit is not a measured saving or an unrestricted product guarantee.

Retain sample identity, measured preparation conditions and synchronized feed and outlet results. Use the record to distinguish an agreed product change from a change in sludge or equipment.

Prepare the supplier brief

Send digestate solids and source, storage interval, upstream conditioning, current polymer, separator settings and baseline outputs. Identify any planned digestion or feed-blend changes before requesting a long-term supply offer.

Send the evidence through the cationic emulsion sample and RFQ form. Confirm the offered code, availability, packaging and document scope with Gongyi Xinqi Polymer Co., Ltd. before ordering.
