Cationic PAM Emulsion or Liquid Coagulant: Check the Product Role

Distinguish cationic PAM emulsion flocculants from liquid organic coagulants using chemistry, activation, addition sequence and equal-endpoint treatment evidence.

01+

Define the approval question

Positive charge and liquid appearance do not make two treatment products interchangeable. A cationic PAM emulsion and an aqueous organic coagulant can serve different roles in a program, so procurement should establish chemistry and preparation before comparing price per litre.

Identify the product code, representative sludge and operating constraint before requesting a commercial commitment.

02+

Identify the offered chemistry

Ask whether the material is inverse-emulsion polyacrylamide, a polyamine, polyDADMAC-type coagulant or another formulation. Confirm its commercial code and intended function. The cationic emulsion explanation distinguishes supplied form from usable activated solution.

Do not transfer a preparation instruction between unrelated products because both are sold as liquid cationic polymers. Obtain product-specific instructions for the actual offer.

03+

Preserve the treatment sequence

Identify whether a coagulant remains upstream and the purchase replaces only the flocculant. Keep pH correction, contact order and sludge source fixed for a direct comparison. If a supplier proposes a new multi-chemical sequence, evaluate it as a changed treatment program.

Report combined chemical use where both products are needed. Comparing one stage alone can conceal the additional reagent required to reproduce the accepted result.

04+

Compare a common output

Measure capture, cake, throughput and practical handling at the agreed endpoint. Normalize the appropriate product mass and active basis without assuming different chemistries have the same dose requirement. Include activation equipment where the proposed form requires it.

An apparently convenient ready aqueous product does not automatically replace an emulsion flocculant; equally, an emulsion is not automatically a better upstream coagulant.

05+

Challenge a favorable comparison

A clear first filtrate sample after replacing the whole conditioning sequence cannot establish a direct one-for-one product substitution. Document what remained fixed and what changed before accepting the commercial comparison or using it to forecast repeat orders.

Record the unresolved boundary with the trial result. An expected operating benefit is not a measured saving or an unrestricted product guarantee.

Keep the acceptance record

Retain sample identity, measured preparation conditions and synchronized feed and outlet results. Use the record to distinguish an agreed product change from a change in sludge or equipment.

07+

Prepare the supplier brief

Send current chemical codes and roles, addition points, preparation equipment, sludge details and the proposed substitution scope. Ask for a technically defined offer rather than a cheaper generic cationic liquid.

Send the evidence through the cationic emulsion sample and RFQ form. Confirm the offered code, availability, packaging and document scope with Gongyi Xinqi Polymer Co., Ltd. before ordering.
